I'm surprised Trump hasn't made an appearance on one of those made-for-TV golf events - it would get a decent number, half watching to root for him, half to see if he can walk a course and play by the rules. Question: if age is a problem with both Trump and Biden, why are people not clamoring for better choices than the multiple senators who are as old or even older (grassley is 90!) than trump and Biden.

There was a special election* for a state House seat in the Huntsville area tonight. Not only did the Democrat win by emphasizing abortion and IVF rights, she fucking sandblasted her opponent in probably the most purple district in the state, taking 63 percent. This is the first time in 22 years Democrats have come away from any election, special or regular, with a net gain in representation.

* Why was there a special election? The GOP incumbent was forced to resign once he was found guilty of falsifying his address to run in the district.

 

Certainly fits right into the trend line of the 2018, 2020 and 2022 elections. Along with just about every special election as well. And the trump underperformance in the primaries.

And another crystal clear indication that Dems have to get women’s healthcare rights on ballots everywhere possible and make it the top campaign issue.
