A weak verb is a weak verb, but a weak verb isn't necessarily the passive voice.

 

Nobody should have to clamor. There should just be upper age-limit standards/requirements, as a matter of course, and law, just as there are for the lower age limits.

There should not be an age limit for the presidency. Just like there shouldn’t have been mandatory retirement ages. It’s up to the voters to select a candidate who has all his marbles.

Yet we have term limits for certain positions -- shouldn't the same theory apply: if the voters want to keep voting for someone, and that person keeps winning, why isn't that allowed?

 

Supreme Court ruled long ago term limits were unconstitutional for federal elective positions (presidential limits were an amendment). State limits, which are common, are up to them.
