College basketball can be a very forgiving sport. If you can take advantage of it.
NC State was a disinterested, disengaged team for months. They were even down by 10 to University-6 in the first round of the ACC Tournament. And they're eight minutes away from a regional final gig with Houston or Duke.

Oh I get that it sucks. Same thing happens in baseball/softball postseason.

NC State's Diarra is one of the great and under appreciated stories of this tournament.

Both NCSU men and women ahead 55-47 at this moment. Men with 4:50 to go and women after three quarters.

Going into the ACC Tournament, Diarra was considered little more than some rebounds and defense. Then he found some offense. And is observing Ramadan. Fun story.

NCSU women were down 10 in the first half. Now up 13 in the fourth quarter and Cameron Brink has fouled out.

I’d like to see N.C. State keep winning for a few reasons, including the happiness @Sam Mills 51. But part of me also chuckles at a scenario where the Pack completes a miracle run and then Kevin Keatts makes a lateral move for like a $1.00 raise just to be petty to the loudest mouths in the Wolfpack Club.

With the whiny brat Cameron Brink out of the game, things are good.

Like, if NC State wins, that's nine fucking wins in a row in elimination games. Mad respect.

    They would deserve it.

Herb Sendek got out of Raleigh because they made a point to never make him feel at home. When it occurred, many in the so-called "fan base" cheered. I was not one of them ... those of you who have been on this board long enough can confirm this.

One of these days, they need to realize that Jim Valvano will not rise from the dead to assume his rightful place on the bench, no matter how much the old sorts in red polyester want that to occur.

P.S.: Dixie, you perfectly encapsulated why I will never be part of the Wolfpack Club, and I made clear to never bother with me. When I was in school, they always wanted the band at functions, yet did nothing to help us get anything financially to repair instruments, clean marching band unis or upgrade anything. Yet athletics got everything, all the time, even when they didn't really need it. The music department gets what I can spare ... not the Wolfpack Club.
