Three ACC teams in the final 8.

Every time March Madness rolls around and I again see that video of Akeem pounding his fists on the floor in pain and frustration, I die a little inside.

I think @BTExpress will have to retire his Rick Barnes material soon.

Duke knocking out the team I picked to win the national title nearly entirely because Houston's best player rolled his ankle is one of those results that reminds you to always trust sports to give you the least-popular outcome.

The final eight might be elite - but I can't root for any of them. Ugh. Illinois the furthest west? Maybe?

Or I'll root for someone if they adopt the Oregon State Women for a few days....we're going to need some help against South Carolina (yeah, I said WE) haha

Watch the 30-for-30 "Survive and Advance" sometime. Not to troll you ... one of the nice clips was that Hakeem gave his take on the game's last play in his usual classy manner. (Fair warning: Not a long clip, and if your sentiment above is any indication, you might not think the juice is worth the squeeze.)

Purdue-Tennessee deserves these announcers. I mean that in the snottiest way possible.

The Beavers are going to need a LOT of help against the Chickens. That's a serious team ... and the fact that they had scares against Tennessee and, only hours ago, Indiana is, IMO, newsworthy.

Thing is, I like Dawn Staley a lot. And let's face it ... I'll take her on any day ending with a "y" against Kim Mulkey.

That doesn't mean I have the first thing against the women from Corvallis. Problem is my school is facing Texas for its first Final Four berth in more than 25 years. And that's going to be a handful.

It does seem like the women's field has gotten a little deeper - first round games are a joke but the top eight and the next eight are getting closer. And very little difference between the second eight and the third eight.

I have to say - I've enjoyed watching the tourney. The basketball is a lot different than what you see in the NBA - nice seeing 6-8 "big men."
