    Hey Elon, you could save a lot of money by re-using some of NASA's leftover Redstone rockets.

    Reminds me of the one two decades ago that took out an interstate bridge in Oklahoma on the same river. Very lucky this one didn't do the same for whatever reason — maybe the barge wasn't fully loaded or the piers were better reinforced or protected.

    I don’t want to come across as “Elon-like’’ but can’t they get a couple ferries to shuttle cars back and forth as at least a temp solution? It would have to make at least a small difference. There are already a couple spots between New Jersey and Delaware (cape may ferry) and New Jersey and New York City that have ferry service for commuters.

    Ferry crossings aren't quick. By the time you load, cross, and unload, each trip would likely take a half hour or more.
