JuJu gets the hype (and she's a great player), but Bueckers is so damn good.

Weird that the 2 seeds in this tournament were so forgettable, while N.C. State, UConn and LSU are all hell on wheels as 3 seeds.

28-10-6 will play every day. With all the pub Clark gets, Bueckers got as much as a freshman. If she had stayed healthy, it would have been her vs Clark as the great rivalry.

I get that. But I thought Mulkey was Clay's kind of coach -- especially when she refused to acknowledge Brittany Griner was in a Russian prison.

I was thinking, don't they usually run out of the tunnel or something right before the game?
Mulkey was asked about it in the presser and said their pregame routine has them off the floor while the anthem is being played. She said she didn't even know when it was played.

Disagree. Just utterly overmatched. Van Lith is listed at 5-foot-7. Clark is 6-0. So the height advantage, the shooting range and the court vision and that's too much to ask just about anyone, much less someone giving up five inches.

Another problem that Mulkey wisely pointed out: It wasn't just Clark. She had plenty of help, and helped set them up when she wasn't pouring in the net herself.

And amid the details of that lengthy ESPN feature on Clark was the fact that Caitlin wanted to play at UConn. Geno never seriously recruited her.

    Can’t get them all …

I thought she said she didn't want to play at UConn but was mad when they didn't recruit her. Well, if you're not going to play there, then why should UConn waste time recruiting her?

Every #3 women's seed made the Elite 8.

What we'll never know was if Geno was seriously considering her.

Not at all trying to defend Geno, but he recruits by fit, not by hype. Was there something about Clark's game that he and his staff didn't like as much as the others? Was her competition in Iowa hurting her? Just no telling.

We DO know, however, that he called Paige Bueckers the best player in the country a few days ago. So he believes his player is better than Caitlin Clark. Think Clark and her teammates won't use that as fuel the next few days?
