When the Giants/Jets moved to Met Life, the entire purpose was to squeeze as much money out of the fan as possible. Giants Stadium was basically a mega sized HS stadium with limited food, luxury seating and other concessions. Now, Met Life has about 20 different types of luxury seating, all sorts of food/drink choices and tons of places to pay $60 for a hat or t-shirt. If you want to sit close to the field, you pay an insane amount of money to get a luxury buffet and so many of those fans spend a portion of the game inside eating and drinking rather than cheering. It’s a reason why home field in most sports isn’t a huge advantage anymore

Josh Allen is going to be throwing to some of those temp guys they hired to help dig snow out of the stadium.

Does that really qualify as a Blockbuster? I’m not sure that’s even a Family Video. Maybe a Redbox.

Stroud on a cheap contract makes it a swing worth taking.

My cousin, who has his own insurance agency but was far from wealthy, had seats on the 50 yard line for 30 years at Three Rivers Stadium and then Heinz Field because he bought Steelers season tickets going back to the Pitt Stadium days and just continued to be grandfathered in. I'm talking 50 yard line about 11 rows back.

Diggs seems to be a guy who wears out his welcome after 2 or 3 productive seasons. I think he caused a lot of unnecessary drama for the Bills over the past season or so.

A talent, but may not be missed as one might think. He sort of disappeared over the last half of 2023.

Rich Stadium was a great place to watch a game. Great sightlines, not a lot of bells and whistles, but it worked.

More than sort of disappeared. Over the last eight games, he averaged 43.6 receiving yards per game and 9.4 yards per catch, and scored a grand total of two touchdowns (one receiving, one rushing).

I love that the Texans are going for it but I wonder how Diggs will fit in with that young group -- and how he'll react to not being the No. 1 receiver.

This news needs that Adam Silver meme for Stroud: Get ready to learn diva receiver, buddy.

In 1986 I used to buy Nuggets tickets off a clerk in my office for $18 face value a game. She and her husband (a copier repairman) had seats six rows off the court at the logo across from the benches. Adjusted for inflation into 2024 dollars those tickets cost $51 apiece. According to the Nuggets website half season tickets for next season will cost $407 a game for identical seats.

I grant Denver is something of a bad example because the Nuggets in 1986 were decent but not a defending NBA champion but I used Denver because I did know the specific information. But I think it is safe to say that there are many copier repairman and accounting clerks have not been sitting courtside six rows up in Denver for a while.

I could not find pricing for Steeler tickets at the 50. If your cousin has seen his ticket price increase by only the rate of inflation over the years my admiration for the Rooney family has exploded (and I actually admired them a great deal already).
