    The Federal Election Commission has nothing to inquire about. His requirement as a candidate is to fill out a financial disclosure form that lists his assets, debts and sources of income. He's not a candidate until he is the nominee. Regardless, as long as he fills out the form -- which he did in 2016 and 2020 -- he's met his FEC requirement. Presumably he'll do it this time around also, something even he has no problem with even with his bullshit attempts to try to cinvince people he's worth a gazillion dollars, because it discloses so little information to the public. ... it's a list of names with dollar values that are in such broad ranges that they are meaningless to anyone who looks at it.

    The FEC doesn't do their own inquiries into candidates who have mortgages on real estate they own or who have borrowed money. The supposed purpose of the disclosure forms candidates fill out is for the public to decide on their own if there are any conflicts of interest. The FEC isn't making that kind of determination.

    As long as the FEC is a 50-50 split between R's and D's it's a dead letter anyhow.

    The choices for Cannon are: 1) She’s too green and overwhelmed/terrified by this case, 2) she’s terrible and has no idea what she’s doing, or 3) She knows exactly what she’s doing and she’s completely in the tank for trump.

    The answer to all three is she’s gotta fucking go. Yes, that will almost certainly push the case into 2025. But, if it goes on like this, that’s inevitable anyway. And she seems highly unlikely to allow a trump conviction.
