You do get the sense that the people that run the women's tournament actually hate women, are incompetent to the Nth degree and have no business being involved in athletics. I mean, this is an organization that will freak out over a media member taking a can of Coke to press row instead of putting it in an NCAA cup - and they couldn't get a forklift to take a break? Absolutely embarrassing. That organization used to strike fear into major college programs, I don't understand the point of its existence anymore. Feckless.

A lot of it is generational. Women playing sports has been a normal thing for the last 20-30 years and spectator interest is also building. It's much like soccer. All those kids growing up in AYSO and other groups are now tuning in to not just World Cup, but EPL, Champions League, and, yes, even MLS.

The NCAA needs to catch up with the times.

The construction sounds in the background smell of disdain for the event.
The comments of the PR person, who should be identified, are laced with contempt for the media.

What an insane response. And it isn't about the access, it is about the quality of the location and event.

Look at her look behind her, while clearly trying to hear, and then roll her eyes.

Oh, Bronny. Jordan’s kids weren’t worth a shit, either.

The 3-point line fiasco proves that the NCAA enlists second-rate venues, second-rate organizers, second-rate arena contractors for women's sports. True professionals simply do not let that happen.

The 3-point line disaster was at the home of the Trail Blazers … which now that I think about it does not disprove your thesis.

Not to defend the NCAA, but the floor vendor was the same one that did the men's courts. And the men's first and second rounds will be in Portland in 2026.

Sure feels like the NCAA is intensely irritated that all of the attention and interest in the women's Final Four is making them have to work harder this week.
