The whispers are what they do with Draymond. Do they want to keep going with a guy who is the best facilitator but is as likely to be suspended as he is to be available on a given night. He’s got Robert on his contract but I’m curious if they shop him this summer.

Klay won’t get a huge deal from the Warriors. They’ll put it in him. Does he want to get 6th man money and stay or did he want to try for one last ok deal. They may say you’re welcome to look, but here’s what we’re going to give and it’s not close max like before.

Klay could be a real value play for a team one good shooter away from being contenders. If he can recreate his best days 10 times over the season, even better. But that team should not be the dubs.

You can't shop Draymond. This team is terrible without Draymond. For all of his issues -- the stupid techs, the ejections, the occasional assault -- this team isn't even sniffing the play-in without Draymond. The only way I see them moving Draymond is if Steph tells them to get Dray out of there. I wouldn't blame him if he did... but Steph isn't dumb, and probably doesn't want to spend his golden years battling the Blazers for 11th.

I think Klay would like to stay and would have to accept a diminished role and salary... but I'll put it this way: If I were the GM of the Warriors, Klay would be offended by the salary I would offer him.

Aren't they probably way over the cap anyway? If I'm reading Spotrac correctly, they're roughly $70m to $88m over the cap this year. They'd have to shed two of the three of Green, Wiggins and Thompson to get under the cap to even sign one person. I think they're probably stuck re-signing them and riding this out, or trying to swap them for an equally bad contract. Barring a huge home run in the draft, their window as championship contenders is probably over. If Curry wins another title, it's probably in a role as a sniper, a la Ray Allen on the Heat.

Steve Clifford stepping down as Hornets coach at the end of the year. He's always struck me as an "adult in the room" type for young or bad teams, but it's still kind of surprising to see an organization eager to incorporate a guy with a 337-457 overall coaching record into the front office structure.

Draymond would be worse than useless on almost any other team.

They are, and I think ownership is less than excited about paying tens of millions in penalties for a 10th place team.

On the flip side, Steph is 36 and still playing at a really high level. You can't just wave a white flag and rebuild.

Ultimately I think they either drop Klay or sign him as cheaply as possible with the clear understanding that he is a role player off the bench, and just ride it out with what they've got until Steph retires in presumably a couple of years. Lean hard on Kuminga and Podziemski. I don't really believe they'll get anywhere doing that, but I also don't see any palatable options.

FWIW, Curry's and Kerr's contracts expire at the same time, after the 2025-26 season.

Did they really need to nominate West again and go through the process? Why not just adjust the citation in his player summary? Obviously worthy as a contributor - but to me, if you are in the HoF, you are in the HoF. The Rock Hall is similar - but I understand it being different when they induct bands and then performers individually when they go solo.

Malachi Flynn, and his 5.2-point career average. Get outta here.

He's also in the portal, which I suspect will be more of a key to what he's doing next season.
