Richmond Road is millionaires row in Lexington or damn close to it. But it is also a US highway and one of the main connections between I-75 and downtown. I didn’t know it was Cal’s neighborhood when I was driving down to Rupp Arena, but I remember thinking it would be amazing to live there.

Our short-legged Corgi mix will often just plop herself down on some shady grass and want to rest. Stroller might be a good idea, after all.

That's true. But in reality I think there are decision makers who think it is important. A MAGA coach has something in common with the big donors when they paly golf.

I think schools are going to start pushing their athletic departments to the NIL pot. Arkansas, for example, receives 20 million dollars most years in donations to the athletic department. Do they tell the donors to give the money to NIL instead in order to stay competitive in the SEC football and basketball job market? Then cut costs elsewhere because of the drop in donations? Is there going to be less of an emphasis on facilities because players just prefer cash?

Supposedly he’s not getting another new one, since he just signed an extension at the beginning of the month. (Correction: March. I’m not used to Bama seasons stretching into an extra month.)

The whispers are some of the program whales are going in for either a new or heavily renovated practice facility. The decrepit airplane hangar we call our home court remains on course to outlast the cockroaches in nuclear winter.

That’s the question that makes ADs toss and turn at night. And non-revenue sports coaches too.

FYI Coaching Changes, which appears to be wrong about Nate Oats (no Alabama coach would ever lie and say he's staying some place while angling for a new gig!) says its sources are saying Cal might be getting cold feet. That would be something.

It would be hilarious if Cal pulled the Dana Altman Memorial Eject Button and Kentucky told him to pound sand anyway.
