To show you how little attention I paid last night, I totally forgot about One Shining Moment.

I wanted to make it until the end but predictably fell asleep in the second half. Game went sort of how I expected it to. OSM was already up on YouTube this morning so I watched it then.

It was supposed to be 2 1/2 minutes of Caitlin Clark highlights, but there was five seconds of dead air at the end because somebody measured wrong.

Then we don’t fucking care what you have to say on this topic.

If you ever cover a game at Baylor, there's a sandwich shop in Waco called Schmaltz. You should go there and get the Schmaltz sandwich. It's delish.

I've spent more than a few minutes searching - even watched the end of ESPNs post-game on ESPN plus - didn't see anything. Not saying they should use the same song, but...the women try just as hard. Seems like an obvious thing to me...

I can accept that. But at least I'm not, foe example, posting the temperature in East Bumfuck every day.

Of course it's predictable. That's sort of the idea, right? A warm and fuzzy look back. We all knew the "shooting star" was going to be Gohlke, right? We knew there would be a bunch of smiling D.J. Burns shots. We knew we'd see Yale and Colorado celebrating, Edey dominating, Knecht, Newton, etc. That's what the whole feature is all about -- the stuff everyone remembers.

I will say the one shot I expected to see but didn't was Heide's insane dunk in the final.

And this is why, when I've watched the final, I've always found something else to watch when OSM comes up. Too syrupy.
