This wouldn't be the first time for Cal. Wasn't he on then off and then on again when he left Memphis?

Mitch Barnhart trying hard not to smile publicly while jumping up and down with joy and high-fiving anyone within reach privately. What a gift he just received, being able to offload an underperforming coach and saving millions and millions of dollars in the process.

I give him credit for wearing blue. Honestly, some of these coaches - you can totally understand why they are such great recruiters.

I don’t know why, but as I was watching this year’s tournament I somehow got the impression that she had already announced this was her last year.

No surprise. She's 70 (or 71, I forget, she's a year older than me so it depends on her birthday). She has been pretty vocal that she wants nothing whatsoever to do with the ACC because of the ridiculous travel, the same thing Brink mentioned when electing for forego her fifth year. Usually a chance for a Stanford education was enough to win any recruiting battle. Not anymore, one of her best players is in the portal with some incredible offer from somebody.

A very classy woman. She'd sit in the press room before games and just BS with the writers, very down to earth and unimpressed with herself, even if she did have an ego and hated to lose. A Buffalo Seminary grad, class of 1975.

Nope, announced tonight. She's literally accomplished everything possible in the game. She's also 70 and probably not looking forward to those ACC road trips. Stanford had been slow in figuring out thr portal and NIL as well.
