More prepared than if Dumbass was still president.

This time parts of the country will get wiped out because “the federuhl gummint is woke and wantz uz all 2 die!” Fine. Be stupid. I feel horribly for those who lose family because of it, but you can’t fix ignorance.

I’ll be incredibly comforted by your words at the funerals.

March 17 for me. St. Patrick’s Day now has a different meaning. I remember the day before, we didn’t get hardly any of our regular work done because we kept having spontaneous meetings about organizing ourselves to work from home. Our office didn’t have a lot of laptops, so I was frantically texting my wife and telling her to go to the nearest store and grab a laptop.

Like a lot of people, I thought it’d be 2-3 weeks at most, and WFH turned out to be two years. They let us telecommute two days a week now.

A few weeks in, they would let one of us go into the office if we had letters to mail out, and we could print and mail out coworkers’ letters if they emailed them. I went in on a cold, gray early April day, and it was one of more depressing things I’ve seen. Where normally there are thousands of people in the surrounding area near my office, I was the only one there other than one masked security guard.

My wife insisted that I wear rubber gloves and a plastic face shield, and wipe down everything. I skipped the gloves and shield after a while because I couldn’t tape my letters shut because the tape would keep sticking to the gloves.

Such a strange time. I hope it never happens again.

Fair enough, I should’ve removed the edge.

I’m just frustrated that the deniers’ actions cost us a year or more of society functioning somewhat normally. Had people stayed away from gathering indoors and limited contact with others for a month, perhaps it burns out and we avoid a lot of deaths.

And that’s selfish of me. I know. I wish I was a little less douchey in that regard.

You blew it. Had the perfect Seinfeld-esque ending, and you didn't lock the thread.

There was absolutely ZERO chance it was going to burn out with non-medical interventions.

    Sure you can.
