Tony says the footage they're showing Wednesday is legitimate and not some bait-and-switch. Don't think this is going to go over well -- and not in a putting Punk in a negative light kind of way.

Did anybody else catch what I think is the return of Uncle Howdy last night?

I’m still wondering what their angle is going to be with showing the footage?

Is it to reintroduce Perry? OK, maybe that’ll work.

Is it to rip on Punk? Big whoop. It happened six-plus months ago and he’s gone from your company.

Is it to just show off that you have the footage? Zzzzzz.

Is there some sort of insane Forbidden Door story about to happen with the E because Vince is no longer in charge and now they’re a pro wrestling company again? OK, now you got my attention.

I was today years old when I learned WWE has Tagalog announce team.

But he never said it was footage of Punk-Perry. It might be a scripted segment filmed because the Bucks knew they’d turn heel in 2024.

Lord almighty, that could be true.

Either way, I'll still watch. I was pretty all in (no pun intended) on AEW when it was at its hottest, and WWE was at its Vince-ified depths, but AEW is starting to reek of desperation (not awesomeness, despite E&C being there) now that WWE's product is as hot as it's been in years, and AEW is stagnating at best.

I’m still all-in on AEW. Okada, Ospreay, Mox, Orange, FTR, Hangman, Swerve, Omega (when healthy) have my allegiance.

Of course, I DVR Wednesday night’s show and zip through it. Then read recaps of Friday and Saturday. I don’t have that much TV time to watch it all live.

True, I do still appreciate the abundance of athletic stars, but Tony's petulant rich boy act is starting to wear thin.

Gulak conspicuously absent from his stable in NXT, and his name is missing among the others from the video walls.

Really made no sense for them to not switch the tag belts Saturday, but there's Bron Breakker's NXT "retirement" match.

But oh Lord, here comes Karrion Kross' happy fun bunch.

Interesting. Trick vs. Dragunov for the title, but if Trick loses, he's leaving NXT. Either Ilja is passing the torch, or they really are hot-shotting Trick to the main roster.

Now we have Trick vs. Carmelo in a cage next week? Again, why didn't they just do that in Philly?

Cathy deserves an award for that dress.
