Ha, they revisited that during today's game. Oddly, during a video tribute to Leon Wagner, their first star player.

Who holds the NBA record for most missed free throws in a game with 23?

I'm going to say Shaq because I think it's funny how badly he shot free throws. It isn't because this is obscure not painfully obvious. Maybe Wilt? Did he go to the line an exorbitant amount?

The most Shaq missed in a game was 15.

Wilt makes up more than half of the top 20, but the most he missed in a game was 22.

I'll throw out Chris Dudley's name knowing he probably never could have got to the line that many times in a single game.

I just looked it up and am pissed with myself. I knew this. I remember my local radio guys laughing this up for random reason not terribly long ago.

Also, I knew it wasn't Shaq, but I'm shocked he topped out at 15. I would have bet money it was higher because of hack a Shaq time. If they fouled him 10 or 11 times before hack-a-Shaq then maybe a half dozen during that stretch and then a few more after, he could shoot north of 30 free throws. Alas, earwax.

Dudley came close — missed 17 in a 1990 game.

The answer is Andre Drummond, who went 13-36 from the line for the Pistons in a win over the Rockets in 2016.
