If we could have sat on a high tree and watched everything that took place, it would be anything BUT a complicated legacy. Either he did it or he didn't.

But opinions, regardless of how strongly they are held, are just opinions. Myself, I think he was guilty as hell. But I allow the possibility of being wrong.

I was born and raised in SoCal and still living there when the murders and chase happened. I got married the next day, so we were at the rehearsal dinner as the chase unfolded 45 miles away. It was insane. Followed by the trial, which was must-watch TV in the age before social media.

At a restaurant with six or so friends, the TVs were on the basketball game. As we were tabbing out, we saw the Bronco chase. We ran one block down to our usual bar and watched the rest of it on a big screen TV with the sound on. Weirdest bar evening I ever had. You'd see people walk in and get a strange look on their face. They might have one drink and then leave.

Someone has to have created an image of a cluster of cancer cells with the text header of IF I DID IT already, right?

It's not like he was a great guy before June of 1994 either. It was well documented in the 30 for 30 which I'm sure most of us watched.

I was at a high school football all-star game the night of the chase, cosplaying as a sports writer at 15.

I remember when the verdict came down, we were all shoved into our tiny library and they rolled out the 17-inch TV to watch.

I was visiting Washington, D.C. and staying in Northern Virginia. I had rented a car from Rent-a-Wreck and was driving my family around listening on the radio. Then I went back to the hotel and watched the chase with Al Michaels giving play by play on ABC instead of the Knicks-Rockets finals game,

I realize that Michaels talent as a broadcaster had a lot to do with this but Michaels had a Forest Gump quality to his career. He was doing the World Series during the San Francisco earthquake and then would up doing the O.J. Simpson chase.

Made the world’s slowest Dominos delivery that night. Happened to draw an order to a friend’s house and when I got there they were watching the chase, which had interrupted a Rockets-Knicks Finals game. Maybe 15 minutes later, I realized I probably should be back at work.
