The only good part of that was Shibata using Google Translate to speak to Hook and Renee.

The IWC makes political division in our country look mild. All the WWE marks are crowing about how stupid the video segment made AEW look. The AEW marks are saying it proves CM Punk was in the wrong and was a genius way to use it in the storyline. Anybody who says "Eww, I don't know about that bit" is attacked from both sides.

Cheers to Samantha, jeers to Lil' Hebner

On a different note, just finished Becky's new memoir and it was a good read. A nice irreverent look at her life and career, a lot like you might see from Becky on screen. Never would've known that her first romance as a late teen was none other than Finn Balor -- long before they were co-workers in WWE.

Yeah, they never would have survived the Territory Era or the Monday Night Wars. I’m imagining Bill Apter getting a bunch of Dimwit On the Phone calls from fans from the Carolinas complaining that Hogan is on the cover of PWI instead of Flair.

I’ve seen too much and maybe I’m getting old, but I’m looking at the Punk video and saying, “OK, Phil seems a bit assholish. Who knows what Jungle Boy is saying. Tony is MIA. So who the fuck am I supposed to vote for in November because of this?”

I haven’t been able to watch too many of this season’s Dark Side of the Ring, but I just saw the root for Chris Colt.

All I have to say is that guy was a major piece of work.

Yeah, that doc was unique to say the least. Struggled with a bit because the subject was so obscure (at least to a young'un) like me, and the only real "name" talking head they had was Cornette.

Chris Adams next week should be good, though.

Part of me figured one of the surviving Bloodline members (Solo or Jimmy) would challenge Cody, but at least these could be some fresh matchups. I have an inkling it could be AJ. Escobar is nowhere near that position, and I can't see Cody facing another face, unless they turn someone like Owens or Bobby again.

Styles would make the most sense. He's kind of a heel at the moment, can give Cody a good main event match, and can do the job without getting defined down. Escobar or Knight would be intriguing as fresh faces for the main event scene, but I don't think this is the right spot for either of them since it's obvious Cody isn't losing for a while.

Yeah AJ’s a perfect heel to kind of put Cody over and not lose anything by doing the j-o-b.

little surprised its not Randy Orton but maybe thats too big for Backlash.

Interesting. Might explain why so many big names (Nattie, Drew, Seth, Becky) have been rumored to have deals ending soon, and why this guy is out of a job.

Cody dropping Brandi's ("a famous Detroit celebrity") AEW line. That's great.

They should've cut to backstage of Jade Cargill looking at a monitor.

Oh, shit. The story of the Bloodline is not done! That was AMAZING.

And I think that foretells Roman coming back as a face to fend off the new splinter group.
