Vanderveer may be the coach I most wanted to play for. No bullshit, no look-at-me stuff, just a ton of smarts and hard work.

Does Vanderveer have the best coaching tree in college basketball? Seems like a ton of successful coaches worked and/or played for her.

Geno is Wooden's comp. Dean Smith might be the closest to a Vanderveer comp. Played in a tough era.

Yeah - also didn't realize Geno is just three wins shy of Vanderveer's all-time wins record. At least she'll have the off-season to enjoy the crown. But she is very worthy of all the tributes she's getting.

Apparently Scott Drew says no to Kentucky. Billy Gillespie has a chance to do the funniest thing ...

Herald-Leader has a headline in the size usually reserved for assassinations.

I have seen more than zero people actually bring up the idea of Rick Pitino returning to Kentucky. That dog ain't huntin'. Right?

It's Kentucky. I could easily see it.

I’m surprised it hasn’t happened yet.

I’ve heard Richard, but not Rick.

He left almost 30 years ago and spent 15 years at a bitter rival during that stretch. That would be a desperation hire by Kentucky.
