Guess the little arena wasn't viable.

Ducks winger Jakob Silfverberg, 33, announced he will retire after this season. Solid career, great guy. During the Ducks' impressive run in the 20-teens, he was on the team's shutdown line with Ryan Kesler and Andrew Cogliano. They were as important to the team as the Getzlaf-Perry-Rotating Left Wing line. Played 817 games, three more to go. His time was up. Hopefully, he can go home to Sweden and play a few more years.

I thought you were referring to OJ’s mention in The Hanukkah Song and put it in the wrong thread, but I then realized you’re probably talking about Silfverberg.

I am not at all surprised the Penguins blew yet another lead of two or more goals in the third period. I am surprised they actually won a game in overtime. Crosby is playing like a man possessed.

Also not surprised the Caps choked in Buffalo ... again. Frustrating tease of an end to a regular season.

They are still only a point out of the last playoff spot and the Penguins' remaining schedule is tough.

Caps still play Tampa, Boston and Philly. Not ideal.

Shocked at the Flyers result last night, but they played much freer and got some big saves from Ersson early in the game while they were treading water. Still need some help, but everyone else’s schedule is pretty tough and they get the Devils at home Saturday and Washington to end the season Tuesday.

IIRC, Detroit's final two games are back-to-backs versus Montreal.

I have watched every Rangers game this season. ... That was their worst game, by far. They weren't engaged. The Flyers were playing like the game was meaningful, the Rangers were playing like they had dinner reservations. I don't know if this is true, but Steve Valiquette, who does the post game, was speculating that you have a number of players who were trying to round off their stats -- Panarin needs 3 goals for 50, Kreider is a few away from 40, Lafreniere is close to 30, and they were more focused on those things than making plays the way they usually are. I can't imagine that is true, but they were definitely not the same team from every other game, last night. Philly looked easily beatable, and the Rangers didn't take the game. It's concerning if they revert to that heading into the playoffs.
