Kristen Wiig getting less funny as she gets hotter (and she is a knockout now) is a strange equation. Another weak show tonight. Update was fine and that was it.

Kristen Wiig is always funny and sexy. Her dancing in the French skit. :)

Well, you got the Fred Armisen cameo among the NINE cameos total, and the filmed Pilates piece, but I think the only character she brought back was the Update guest.

Have to disagree on that one. I thought it was pretty strong beginning to end.

I enjoyed the Jumanji sketch, just for everyone to have to keep saying Jumanji without tripping over their words.

And yes, the original with Robin Williams is the one that matters. Speaking of which, Kirsten Dunst was on Kimmel last week and said Robin gifted her an old-school iMac. That takes me back to a bygone era.

I had no idea giving gifts at the end of a movie shoot was a thing.

It really is perfection. WU was solid. Cold Open dead on. Even the game show sketch was funny. And the Ramy monologue - on point and hilarious. The Do Not Destroy video seemed to be going nowhere until the chorus. I've been there.Love the CSI Miami rip-off too. And tiny desk concert - killed it. You almost wonder if Uri saw that NPR had become a "joke" and figured the time was right to say what he did.

Is it just me or are the "MVPs" of this season Dismukes or Marcelo Hernandez. Which I find bizarre - but they bring it for every sketch, may not be the funniest person in the sketch or the focal point, but they deliver. Don't know anything about Raye, but nice to see actual instruments, actually being played during a musical performance.

The Wiig episode was as good as it should have been. Likely the ep they submit for Emmy consideration. Everything seemed to hit. The monologue, the Will Forte appearance(s), the Jumanji sketch was entirely carried by the performance, it had no business being as funny as it was, and I've done Pilates - the ad spoof was spot on, The office sketch was hilarious. Holy crap the retirement bit had me in tears, Earthquake v. Eclipse (see above re Dismukes/Hernandez)

PS- is it just me or are ALL the ads for watching the SNL replay on Peacock PHARMA ads?

I love that Gosling is on the verge of breaking in every skit.
