People really seem to be overlooking Frampton's contributions to Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band.

(I am not about to argue that the man should be in the hall...but if that list posted above proves accurate, he is not the worst choice on the list, and he's not number two. I'm not even sure he's top 3.)

Franpton shouldn’t be in, but some of y’all showing your ass a bit.

He was a founding member of Humble Pie and was for many years one of those “best guitar players” that other artists hailed, but who no one heard of. He was respected. It was pretty random that he broke as big as he did in ‘76.

Again, not HOF-worthy, but he was more than just some asshole on a vocoder.

I'm well aware of his career, I know he was in Humble Pie,. Frampton's Camel and others. (And he was a childhood friend of David Bowie., who was a student of his father's.) But to the extent anyone remembers Humble Pie they remember the great Steve Marriott. (And they should remember Rockin' The Fillmore, a terrific live album.) But to me, he's being considered RRHOF-worthy for nothing more than Frampton Comes Alive and while everyone owned this back in the day, has anyone ever listened to the whole thing? (I will admit his late-70s single "I Can't Stand It No More" is still a fine record.)

And Frampton's book does a really good job of talking about the insanity of that period when he was exploded worldwide. The rest is meh.

My lone point was to illustrate to those who think “Frampton Comes Alive” was the only thing he did are off a bit.

As I also said, he’s not a RRHOFer.

I may have to drive the 30 miles to attend this ceremony. I'll send all you haters a postcard.

Share an Uber? We can invite Wilco, who also will need tickets to get in.

The predicted list on the last page has Lenny Kravitz making it and Ozzy left out.

At least they were wrong about both of those.

I think I read that Paul McCartney and Jimmy Buffett were neighbors on whatever Rich Guy Island they lived on and became very close over the years. I wonder if he told the RRHOF, "Find a way to get Jimmy in and I'll show up for the ceremony to play one of his songs." I'm no Parrothead, but I feel like Buffett was more deserving to be in the regular wing of the RRHOF than like four of this year's inductees, and not the secondary category that originally was created to highlight session players.

EDIT TO ADD: I guess McCartney got involved with the Foreigner campaign, too.
