I’m one of ten people who follows the LPGA and who knows that Nelly Korda has won 4 times in a row. IF she wins this week, that might bring the watch number to 11 because this week it’s a major (former Dinah Shore). Unfortunately she’s only got one major so far.

I'm following. Our girl Lauren Coughlin in the early lead. Virginia native, played at UVA, big supporter of our association. Go Lauren!

That’s about how many people are in her gallery today. The best possible circumstance and next to nobody is on hand.

Great story but rooting for Nelly. Hard to believe Vu has same number of majors as Lydia Ko.

Wouldn't be the case if this was still at Mission Hills, but sponsor money trumps all.

Good on Nelly for getting it done.

T3 for our girl Lauren Coughlin, which jumped her from 94th to 51st in Rolex Women's World Rankings. Top 75 as of May 27 get into the U.S. Women's Open, so she's in a really good place for not having to go through qualifying to get there.

Nice pay day for Coughlin as well. They said on the telecast that a solo 2nd would have essentially matched her career earnings, which began in 2018.
Looking into her career earnings, that statement appears to be a slight embellishment, but a $429K check is a pretty nice reward for grinding it out for 6 years.

Some special stuff happening right now on the men's and women's tours. Of the last 5 event Korda and Scheffler have each played, they've won 9 of those tournaments, with the other result being a T2.

Quite unlikely we'll ever see a stretch like this occurring on both tours at the same time.

Scheffler looking Tiger-like though you pick a random number of his and compare it and again realize the different universe Tiger was in. Scheffler has held the 54-hole lead 12 times in his career and converted six times. 6-6, a pretty damn good mark compared to the rest of the tour. Think the average is around 35 percent. And then there's Tiger: 55-4 with a 54-hole lead.

Also I'd think this is the year Scheffler alters one of his more bizarre stats: He's never won a tourney after April.

Dominance: Tiger won 27% of all PGA tournaments he entered. Jack won 12%. Annika 23% of LPGA.
