Wow that’s quite the homer call there. Flabbergasted? Really?

Heh. By that time, he was already all in. He almost had to be flabbergasted.

I was unaware that the Bees had switched to the International League.

It's Drew Goodman. He has sucked for decades.

LOL Boone chirping at the ump after one batter, ump tells him to shut up, he does and then a fan tells something and the bump thinks it’s Boone and throws him out.

Classic boy who cried wolf here. That's what happens when you spend nine innings a game 162 games a year motherfucking umps.

Carlos Rodon has thrown a no-hitter against a better team …

While it's not a great look for Wendelstedt, I gotta agree with BYH - when you spend as much time screaming as Boone does you're not going to get the benefit of the doubt.

If you take a step back away from the world of sports in which we've just accepted it as normal, it's kind of bizarre just how much verbal abuse and personal invective umpires and referees are expected to endure at that level of competition. I admittedly lead a fairly sheltered life, but it's a very rare occasion for me to hear someone getting yelled at the way umpires routinely do.

Refs in any sport -- especially in MLB -- don't take 1/10 of the verbal gaff they took in the 60s/70s. Basketball histrionics have been cut way down as well.

Even if it's not what it once was it would still be considered extreme in pretty much any other walk of life. I enjoy artful profanity as much as anybody so I'm not out crusading for a cleanup of the language used in these disputes; I just find it kind of interesting how the culture surrounding high-level sports accepts things that wouldn't be accepted pretty much anywhere else. In not many places do people start things off by calling someone a cocksucker, as Terry Collins does in the clip from a while back in which Tom Hallion talks about their asses being in the jackpot if they don't eject the pitcher.
