With the women's championship battle royal tonight, there are three clear choices -- Becky, Nia and Liv -- but I'd love to see a shock win for Chelsea and let her run with it for a bit, full Karen mode. Also hearing people throwing Bliss' name out there, since they're in her hometown of Columbus.

I think "let these guys do their thing" might carry over into the storylines as well - which might be a problem.

I think Cody is the prime example of the good checks and balances can do. He was basically free to do his own thing in AEW (nothing screams pro wrestling better than a gender reveal), plus getting two TV shows, and was getting go-home heat as a face.

Now in WWE, where the buck stops with Trips (and Vince before), he's one of the hottest, most over acts pro wrestling has had in recent years.

It’s a balancing act. Until recently, you had Vince micro-managing every word that came out of every talent’s mouth. And on the other hand, you have AEW giving too much free rein to where the performances are non-sensical.

Trips seems to strike a good balance, so far. Have a plan, but give the talent some leeway.

And the audiences. I mean, AEW’s big baby face drank blood and harrassed a man’s infant. So obviously Cody’s Cena routine wasnt gonna work there

Hang on ... Hangman drank the blood, while Swerve was the infant "harasser" - which is a strong word for "silently watching a baby sleep."

Also, Ospreay is now the biggest face in the company.

Having a wrestler consume another wrestler's blood is just a ludicrous idea.

    WWE would never.

WWE once had a wrestler whose gimmick was a vampire.
Didn't they also have someone watching another wrestler's sleeping baby as well? I want to say it was a Miz feud, maybe with Ambrose/Moxley doing the home invasion bit.

But yeah, the AEW crowds are sometimes only a step more refined than ECW crowds. A little too smart for their own good, too.

I believe that was with the Miz's easily forgotten feud with Dexter Lumis.

    Seth went into Edge's house.

Jey Uso is a great in-ring performer, but his promos look and sound like a 12-year-old hopped up on Adderall and Mountain Dew.
