Payton's ego is going to set back this franchise for YEARS.

 

$2.75mm to take a flyer on Wilson isn’t bad at all.

 

Do they need another back-up with Stidham and DeNucci?

 

I am a little more hopeful of Wilson than most because he was fighting everything in New York from a shitty offensive line, shitty coaching, lack of playmakers and just not being ready for a situation where he couldn't grow without being torn apart every game from his first preseason game. He has talent, a lot of talent, and the rare times when he could show it off I enjoyed watching him.

It's a low-risk situation for Denver. This move wouldn't be one that would keep them from drafting a QB if the one they want is there.

 

So four of the five 1st round qbs from '21 draft are now elsewhere - not a surprise with the limited playing opportunity with COVID, but I guess I am surprised team's reached so high (the Niners!?) - and were so OFF on their evals.

He's still done fucked going to Payton. I don't see Payton's tough love approach working with a young & immature kid. Not to mention that Payton has never developed shit. Drew Brees landed in his lap b/c Nick Ssban decided he'd rather have Daunte Culpepper and his two good shoulders.

 

He’s got a coach who is interested in signing him and who has an HOF QB on his resume. Sounds pretty good.
