Hell, if TV counts, Herman Munster is DH’ing even over Mr. October.

Not a baseball movie and the kid was a robot, but all D.A.R.Y.L. did was hit home runs.

    Now we need reserves.
Jack Elliott and Jack Parkman are probably good for an at bat or two off of the bench.

I already have a 26-person roster. The ones who aren’t in the lineup are the reserves.

Crash Davis was a journeyman catcher who had a 21-day career in the bigs.

Jake Taylor eats his lunch. Hell - Gus Sinski might have been a light-hitting catcher, but even he managed to stick around for a productive career.

I guess counting would have been helpful.

I have Jake as the starter, as he was an All-Star in Boston. I figure Crash would be a good No. 2, especially with a pitching staff that has several young and/or high-strung pitchers.

Dottie is third as Jake gets banged up frequently and Crash is getting up there in years himself. Plus she can catch foul pops while doing a split. Jake would probably blow out multiple hamstrings if he tried that.

Was in position to win the 1996 US Open too until he took a 12 on the final hole.

Crash could always manage. Apparently, he did manage in Visalia after his playing days were done. But I think I'd go with Pop Fisher.

... and you can't remember who won the Open that year, or who finished second. But you remember his 12.

    My God! It's immortal!

    It was a defining moment.
And when a defining moment comes.
    You either define the moment.
    Or the moment defines you.
