Lord almighty, that was some ... thing. I think there was more of a supportive reaction to that from the crowd, which I don't think was the reaction they were going for.

But at least we got a Shad cameo.

The only suitable options would be Omega or MJF (if they're magically healed). Beyond that, it would have to be Swerve, but do they throw the world championship into this mess, too?

The other biggest faces are the ones who have only been around a fraction of the time (Copeland, Ospreay). Moxley or Danielson?

Are they going to have the Elite win all the gold and go full NWO (so Tony can piss off Bischoff some more)?

The problem is, Tony is not a sympathetic figure to a lot of people in the wrestling community. He's not uber-heel Mr. McMahon, but there are a lot who see him (warranted or not) as the rich kid who gets to play with his wrestling "action figures" and complains on social media when he doesn't get his way.

Omega will apparently be back next week, even though he's now facing a second opinion that he has to have surgery, and I half-expect Hangman to show up at some point..

Hangman is an option, but I just think making him a face already would be too much of a stretch after how much he heeled with Swerve before his sabbatical.

At this point, rushing in over the top with things and going too hard too soon is literally AEW's brand.

    Unfortunately.

Now the question is, can Tony resist going on Twitter for the next few days to sell the fact he got his head spiked into the mat?

On a social media video, Trhe EVPs declared this the best version of The Elite. I guess that’s a setup for Omega and Hangman. Add FTR and there’s your Stadium Stampede or Blood & Guts matchup.

I saw that, too. Either Hangman is going to lead the charge, Kenny's problems aren't as severe as they feared, or Kenny's going to go until his innards fall apart.

This was amazing. If you were just listening and not watching the video, you'd be convinced they just spliced in clips of the actual wrestlers.

I guess that helps explain why Ivar has been running solo lately.

Apparently, Liv Morgan and Bo Dallas are a thing. Are they going to make a clean sweep of the Riott Squad looking for the stork?
