That 35% will vote 100%, which effectively makes them 70%. The ball is in democracy's court.

 

Poor little voter. Probably kept up for the first mile or two.

 

Very little of what my uncle posts would be considered insightful or funny. This made me snicker, however.

 

This congresswoman was born and raised in Ukraine. She just voted against aid for her homeland

Of course she did. She's GOP. Claimed the border is SOOOO important. Of course she voted against that bill too.

 

That's what gets me. Why do they think the damn border is so important that they're making it their main issue?

Some bad people cross the border. So do some good people trying to improve their life. But Republicans would rather use mental shorthand and consider them ALL to be bad actors.

 

Identifying "the other" and blaming all your problems on them is an American tradition.

The Germans. The Catholics. The Irish. Free Blacks. The Chinese. Hispanics.

Political parties have spent 250 years blaming one set of minority immigrants or another.

 

It goes beyond immigrants.

We've basically branded half of this country evil and/or stupid because of their support for a political party.

 

I wouldn’t be surprised if she killed kittens. After all, Kristi Kills Kittens would be a cat-whistle for the white surpremacists of her party.

 

Both things can be true. They can stereotype immigrants and be wrong; we can stereotype Trump supporters and be right.

It doesn't sound right, but it is true. Present me with a MAGA who should be held up as a positive to society.

 

I didn't realize it was wrong to criticize the attempt to overthrow our Constitutional Republic and subvert our democracy. But I guess if it works in Russia...
