I truly do struggle with this.

    1. I can't for the life of me how he has enough support to possibly win. How? Why? People really are that stupid.

    2. If he does win, will the guardrails hold one more time?
    a. Are there enough people who believe in the concept of this country to keep it alive?
    b. What happens when he tries to use the military to break the law, and the top brass says no?
    c. Do states really start dividing up?
    d. Etc., etc., etc,. etc.

    3. I truly can't believe or accept that 1. the country will crumble or 2. people will sit idly by with a criminal trying to play dictator.

I mentioned before that prior convictions affect sentencing. Contempt is a misdemeanor. Donald Trump is no longer a "first offender" for sentencing purposes should he be convicted of anything in the future. Every jurisdiction takes a different approach to how it accounts for misdemeanors, in some it has a very small effect, but he no longer has a clean record and that matters.

All about the lettuce. RNC's broke, donors of all sizes running away, no one protesting the trial, why else would Fat Orange Hitler stoop so low as to ask DeSantis for cash? And DeSantis getting back in the game, to be ringside when FOH disintegrates completely.

This is still the right answer to @BTExpress' conundrum, and I'm not the only one who thinks so. Amazon claims it's sold more than 10,000 in April.

Read the book "They Thought They Were Free." A big chunk of Germany was just trying to live and survive and wasn't really paying attention to what was going on.

Duh, they won’t need the National Weather Service anymore. Trump is going to just send nukes into the tornadoes and hurricanes. Problem solved!

Last time around he wanted people to pay for weather forecasts.

I still think people are reading far too much into any polling, which proved to be wildly useless in the last election. I have a friend who is convinced that Biden is doomed because of the poll numbers, that young people won't vote in November and that Trump will flip all seven of the swing states that he needs due to voter apathy. I just can't with the chicken little shit anymore. It's too early to read into it.

In regard to No.1, I don’t understand how supposedly undecided people could even think of bringing Trump back. Twenty years ago, a guy screaming at his rally was considered disqualifying. Now you have a guy who tried to lead a violent coup that would overturn election results, along with a host of other crimes and corruption.

I also still don’t get how anyone could be undecided at this point. Trump has been in the political spotlight for eight years now, including four years as president ; Biden has been president for nearly four years and has a 50-year track record in Congress. They both have long track records. What could possibly be the thing that’s going to sway anyone’s vote at this point?
