It is a "kill Muslims" thing for Bibi and he's in charge of the military.

Your intimacy with what motivates him notwithstanding. ... publicly, in a long political career, he has never said or done anything to suggest that. He's had a lot to say about radical Islam (and he's not wrong), he has always been staunch about Israel's right to protect itself (his brother died during the Entebbe raid). ... but for a guy who yo just said wants to "kill Muslims," it would be erally curious that what may have precipitated the October 7 attack (with Iran behind it). ... was that his government was on the verge of a historic normalization deal with Saudi Arabia, which is as Muslim a place as they come.

If you tell me that Netanyahu is a corrupt man, that he's a politician, that political power is his reason for being, I'll say, "Yeah, there is plenty of evidence of that." He certainly needed to align politically with some of those religious nuts in order to have the power he has. But he has always seemed OK with Muslims that benefited his agenda, and as much as people make everything about him. ... the October 7 attack wasn't something that he did.

But while some among the nation’s approximately 210 million Christians strongly support one side or the other, many see themselves caught in the middle as the war strains interfaith relations, especially those between Jewish and Muslim communities, and incidents of antisemitism and Islamophobia rise.

Later in the story, one guy makes a good point. One guy says U.S. Christians should be peacemakers rather than sticking their nose in the business of other peoples. That, I can agree with.

Much as I hate to do it, I have to agree with Ragu. Many of them aren't showing much intelligence or knowledge. If they don't vote or vote for Trump, they are voting against their own stated goals. That is stupid.

There is plenty wrong with Netanyahu without making things up. He is a corrupt politician making decisions for his own benefit rather than that of Israel, but I don't see the evidence of him just wanting to kill Muslims.

He's indiscriminately killed thousands of Muslims, many of whom were not terrorists. Not sure how else it should be worded.

For sure. He pulled out a dart board, put all the places where there are lots of Muslims on it and the dart landed on Gaza.

Because the goal was to "indiscriminately" kill Muslims, the way that suggests, it had nothing to do with where the terrorists who perpetrated October 7 came from and and are hiding, and where Israeli hostages that were grabbed that day are still being held.

I am sympathetic to people who have been saying, "They have gone way overboard in their response, this is immoral" or "They are not being targeted enough in how they have responded, they need to rein it in." But when you turn that into "indiscriminately killed thousands of Muslims," like this was about Israel having woken up one day and deciding to kill Muslims (of course that is what you are saying when that is what you come up with the describe what is happening). ... for me, you really belie soemthing about yourself.

To be clear, this is what I was getting at with the rain comment. I'm immensely proud of my degree. I just didn't feel the need to sit in a downpour and listen to a former IRS chief.

Not the way you did it, at least not if you want to be accurate.

I don't think that Bibi just wanted to kill Muslims. I don't have a problem believing that he had the IDF target Hamas.

OTOH, he didn't give a solitary shit how many innocent Muslims were killed by indiscriminate targeting of area effect weapons in that effort to kill Hamas fighters.

Fuck around with Hamas and find out.

I'd like to see evidence Bibi isn't callous and bloodthirsty. Because I've got decades showing otherwise.
