Oh, I don't think I came to a conclusion. It was more a "Hmm, I really don't know if that's correct" which is why I came to SJ's much broader knowledge base.

Columbia University graduates 90+ percent of its students. CCNY graduates less than 50 percent of its students (with something like only 12 percent finishing in 4 years).

Using that as a rough proxy for the typical students' overall engagement with the campus (and even really wanting to be there other than feeling they need to go to "college"). ... I'll take what I consider to be an educated guess that what was happening at CCNY was not organic or mostly student driven.

No, I can't imagine the British police raising an American flag in London.

Hmm. In the 21st century she says .

That isn't even the most iconic flag raising in New York in the 21st century.

To be fair, in the case of both Iran and Cuba, the student movements there were overthrowing violent, corrupt dictators, both of whom had been aided and abetted by the US.

I like Caitlin, and she's been sick, but she's beginning to lose the plot a little.

    I don't think so.

She's become a serial Bari Weiss retweeter the last few months.
