Tigers might have something if they start hitting. Right now they have 3-4 guys who just aren't. Pitching is excellent. Skubal nearly unhittable.

And take that Twins winning streak with a huge grain of salt: All 10 games have been against the White Sox and Angels.

Which carrier has the best scorebug? I like NESN's best.

Luis Gil looked rather filthy tonight. 6 1/3 innings of two-hit ball against Baltimore, and he left with a 2-0 lead over the O's and Corbin Burnes.

Not a fan of throat tats, but he was pretty gross tonight. One hit decides an entire game. Onto the next one.

Nationals could be this year’s Diamondbacks.

Will they be smart enough to dump Corbin? They are 15-15. Dbacks started 16-14 last season. They moved to 15 games over .500 before falling back under by mid-August. Bumgarner’s last start was April 19, his fourth of the year. Dbacks barely made it into the playoffs -- if Bumgarner had started even one more game it might have cost them that spot.

Corbin has started six games and Washington has lost four of them. They should have lost his most recent start as he gave up six in the first, but they came back to win. Can they afford to give him any more starts if they seriously want a shot at the playoffs? It can't be about his contract anymore. It's up after this year, so just eat what's left on it. Give your guys a shot at the playoffs!

Let's not get crazy .... I'm glad the rebuild is showing signs of project.

But yeah - surely if there were any takers for Cobin, he'd be gone by now.

The Orioles deserve all the ink they've gotten for their incredible pipeline of young talent, but Bobby Witt Jr. for the Royals and Riley Greene of the Tigers are quietly having breakout seasons. In addition, both teams have had great starts from Brady Singer/Seth Lugo and Tarik Skubal/Reese Olson. Yeah, some of the metrics show some unsustainable bullpen numbers, but Kansas City and Detroit appear to be at least darkhorse spoilers right now.

I'm just enjoying the fact that the Tigers have a winning record this late in the spring since 2016.

There will be no takers for Corbin. They need to set him adrift.

I saw a lot of Witt over the last week as the jays played them in KC and in Toronto. Witt is the real deal.

And for this list, the Jays pitching has been really good, their bats are Total Smelly Canadian Ass.

Don't underestimate the value of an innings-eater, and Patrick Corbin has always been that.

There is zero value in a guy who sucks pitching your team out of contention. Nationals might nt have a great chance at the playoffs, but staying around .500 gives you a chance. Nats can do that.
