When he talks, are Trump's lips moving?'

If the people vote to end our democracy, it will end our democracy!

Maybe young voters didn't have a problem with staying home all day, isolated and quarantined, missing school and playing video games all day - and figure if Trump comes back they can go back to their carefree youth.

Trump's lead in those polls stems substantially from the group of respondents who said they didn't vote in the 2020 election. That is likely disproportionally young voters (duh!).

Biden campaign’s 2020 e-mails: “We know this is going to be a tough fight, and our polling proves that.”

Biden campaign’s 2024 e-mails: “It’s desperation time!” “We really need your support!” “We’re asking you again for money because we’ll need it in two months.”

I happen to take the tone of the messaging at face value. They do not feel very good about what lay ahead.

Of course I’ll be told I’m being Chicken Little.

I look at it as a marketing pitch. They're trying to find the buttons to push that induce people to donate.

I get all the emails, and the tones vary wildly, from the ones you cite to ones calling on me to help the team win, which is taken is a doable goal. I think the idea is to shotgun every possible fundraising theme at potential donors hoping they hit a bunch of chords within that disparate group. Worth noting Trump's emails often include notes of desperation as well. It's a standard fundraising ploy.

Another "I want it to be true" theory flushed down the toilet.
