MLB '24 Regular Season Thread

I think almost every state has a pitch count limit now. In Mississippi it's 125, with a mandatory day of rest for every 25 pitches thrown.

 

Even better. Four HRs in three games.

 

Giants haven't hit 4 hrs in 3 games.

 

The Rockies have won seven games in a row. That's like a blind squirrel finding an acorn for a solid week.

 

The White Sox have won two straight series. The Marlins are 7-8 in their last 15 games. tl;dr: It's so fucking hard to lose 120 games.

 

Padres just took 2 of 3 from the Dodgers then got swept by the Rockies. This game man.

 

Boy all the excitement for Farhan actually signing people and the Giants really laid a turd. Now anyone who was good or at least exciting is hurt. At least Matos and Ramos are doing something but the rest of the line up is dreck. I really hope Farhan has a long game in view that I’m not seeing.

 

At some point is anyone going to question Mark Shapiro’s record as a team president? Cleveland’s decision-making immediately improved when he left.

Giants closer Camilo Doval has 23 siblings and half-siblings. He’s one of his mother’s four children. Apparently dad is like Farhan looking for the right roster.

 

It's time to consider the possibility that Steve Cohen is just an idiot.
