    An anthem for post-Brexit Britain.

Fabulous performance. I don't know what the hell the bass player is doing, playing with the equivalent of piano hammers on his fingers, I guess?

Have no idea what led me to make Transvision Vamp make their SJ debut (I searched beforehand in due diligence).

I heard this song within a week of my first visitation to Europe on Radio Luxembourg (RIP) in 1989 and it stuck with me. They might've gotten some play on MTV's 120 Minutes before that but I missed it. This was their biggest hit in the UK and probably the US alt charts too.

Fun fact: Bassist Dave Parsons went on to become a member of Bush.

This is the Transvision Vamp song I remember:

Fun fact: Elvis Costello wrote an entire solo album for their singer, Wendy James.

It's been just over a year since Gordon Lightfoot died. This might be the best recording of Canadian Railroad Trilogy I've ever heard.

The whole BBC concert is magnificent.

The Hip were pretty noteworthy hosers as well. Sadly it took a tragic passing to make me aware of them.

The most beloved band to ever come out of this country and that was a fact before Gord Downie became ill. (I was at one of the three Toronto shows on their last tour. Long Time Running, the doc made of that last tour, is very good.)

I didn't look at that video, but Huggy's top 10 Hip songs:

    Wheat Kings
    Nautical Disaster
    Last American Exit
    Fiddler's Green
    Fifty Mission Cap
    My Music At Work
    Long Time Running
Locked In the Trunk of a Car
    Fireworks
    At the Hundredth Meridian

My fellow Canuckistani board denizen, JR, (who hasn't been in these parts in a long time) said this song is the best Canadian history textbook ever written.

Bought the 20/20 debut album over the weekend at a music expo. Knew about songs like "Yellow Pills", which is power pop majesty.

This song, however, I wasn't familiar with. Power pop brilliance.

Fantastic album from start to finish from the new wave era of power pop.

Great album. My favorite song of theirs is from the follow-up:
