I'm sorry, but that was an absurd post that just sounds bitter and out of touch. There is nothing uncommon about journalists (male or female) showing off their "fit" at a game. It happens all the time. It's 2024. Of all the problems in the journalism business, someone using social media to connect with followers over fashion isn't one of them.

 

I wonder sometimes if some of the disconnect is between broadcast media and print media. Print media obviously don't have a need to inform readers of their wardrobe, but clothing is an essential part of those in front of the camera...

 

I don't know. What can males show off? A nice pair of shoes? She is definitely showing off her body in those photos, between the clothes and poses. Has any guy asked what suit looked best on him?

 

We must have very different timelines because showing off suits, shoes and sometimes even socks on social media is a game that is often played by male reporters and broadcasters I know during the football season and that's OK!

 

I don't know how to express it. I just think the dynamics are different.

A guy can show off his shoes and socks, but the level of sexuality isn't the same as a woman dressing up and posing. It seems problematic when women want to considered in the same manner as men, but still put out 'sexy' social media posts.

My opinion is biased by knowing her background and considering her not a serious person.

 

Having seen the Rockies playing the Giants over the course of the last couple of weeks, she may have a point, at least until Broncos camp starts.

Seriously, having spent much of my life in markets with two baseball and football teams, plus two P5 colleges and four mid-majors, on-air partianship like this was impossible.
