Damn, day after Mother's Day?? That's brutal. Of course if you're filing Monday, the marriage was over long ago.

Yeah, sad to hear. Especially with a young daughter. And whenever you're filing, it's been over for a long time.

So, probably just a 68 today, or so?

When ESPN just went to break showing the little kid hitting balls, it brought me back to one of my favorites……Peter Alliss.

On a completely different note, I found a brand new golf excuse today. I played a course where several holes were quite near the Bass River Rod and Gun Club. "I was distracted by gunfire on my backswing!" It was pretty constant throughout the three or four holes near the club, which I spent hoping the shooters were more accurate than I was with my irons.

If Monahan and the players want to sink the ship, it sounds like the responsible adults don't want to be associated with it.

Nelly Korda won at Liberty National, her sixth win in seven starts and only the fourth player on tour to win six times before June 1. She's 25, an American, and should be a bigger story except...womens golf.

It's frustrating. Golf Channel/NBC could be leaders on this front, but they choose not to be. The LPGA is almost impossible to watch because it's buried in weird time slots. I give the No Laying Up crew credit -- they actually devote a lot of time and energy to the LPGA. I'd watch the LPGA all day over any PGA Tour Champions event.

It's criminal how the geezer tour is pretty much locked into Golf Channel in regular slots for every event while the LPGA bounces around.

In other news, U.S. Open final qualifying at a few sites today and Sergio was the odd man out of a 7-for-6-spot playoff in Dallas. That's a bummer, Sergio whining his way through another major is always amusing. Credit to him for continuing to try to qualify though, unlike Gooch.
