At the start of the trial the judge set a schedule that gave everyone Wednesdays off. Additionally, one of the jurors had a scheduling conflict for this coming Thursday, so that was scheduled as an additional day off.

When it became clear the evidence would end either yesterday or today, the judge asked jurors if they could come in Wednesday, but apparently several could not.

With evidence finishing this morning, they can do the charging conference this afternoon, but the next scheduled court day, which would be for closing arguments and jury instructions, is Friday.

Last thing anyone wants to do is hand this case to the jury for deliberation at 4 p.m. on Friday before a long weekend or worse, give argument and instructions and have no deliberation till they return next Tuesday.

It's not ideal for the jury to take a week off here, but it's much cleaner than the alternatives. It should cut down on any potential tampering once the jury has the case and it avoids a situation that has been known to create appeal issues related to jury conduct (late Friday deliberation/inappropriate deliberation over the weekend).

I'm pretty sure "campaigning" at this stage means for the general. Primary campaigning is long over. And never meant anything this year anyway.

Biden has more by percentage. Trump has more total . . . because he speaks so much more often.

One of the biggest fails over the last year is there hasn't been full blown adaptation of "It Can't Happen Here" ... fully backed with financing and star power that even the maggoty of MAGAts would see and be unable to deny what Trumpism truly is.

Wondering if the long weekend played a role as well in the delay? Perhaps the judge didn't want the jurors rushing their decision so they could head off to holiday activities??

Someone is going to get to one of these jurors. Or perhaps already has.

No need for him to campaign in either state, Trump's getting Iowa's electoral votes and Biden's getting New Hampshire's.

I strongly encourage trump and his fascist band of fuckwits to keep pissing off women. It’s a sooper dooper great strategy.

It'll be announced as part of "the greatest health care."
