I don't get your point then. Constitutional judgments aren't based on public opinion. There is a political element to appointments to the Supreme Court, but decisions shouldn't be weighed on what a popular vote would be .

But that's a political opinion about the process of appointing justices. That doesn't regard the actual opinions. Roe and Dobbs stand on their own and should not be considered by public opinion.

    I'm talking about politics.

But stating a Supreme Court decision is invalid because the majority of people disagree with it is simply contrary to the complete understanding of Con law.

Which is why I'm not doing that.

That is clearly an opinion that SJ decisions should somehow be based on majority thought.

Again, the political process of appointing justices is separate from the decision making.

    It's not.

It's a comment on the political process that resulted in the election of Donald Trump; Trump's subsequent SC appointments; and the ensuing overturn of Roe.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I also don't agree with this.

You can write it; it doesn't make it true.

I'm with you on immigration. Where are the Democrats out of step with the general public on healthcare?
(and to stay on the NPR topic, All Things Considered has done countless stories the last four years on exactly how racist the health care system is, to the point that I, someone who is inclined to agree with that point, change the station when another one comes on)

Democrats have frankly deprioritized health care. Have for awhile. It’s now the party of the very rich, and it is less of a concern.

Alma, I’m gonna have to see verifiable evidence of what you’re saying.
