He has time to move back to New York, where a probationary sentence will not prevent him from voting, but he cannot vote in Florida.

Sentencing should have been on June 19.

That said, a sentence of probation or home confinement would be in line with other “first offenders.”

At this point, I’m happy knowing that “convicted felon” will be in the first graf of his obit. Everything beyond that will be a bonus.

JFC, ABC, get off the jurors not looking at Trump. That's not what's important.

Somebody posted on Twitter that the judge will sentence Trump to 3 to 6 months with the Mets.

That would be blocked by the appeals court. Cruel and unusual punishment.

A probationary sentence is appropriate for the level of the crimes and his prior record. I fully expect Judge Merchan's sentence to be in keeping with how he's treated low level felons with limited prior records, though an asshole tax wouldn't surprise me if Trump continues railing on Merchan and/or his daughter publicly.

If I'm Todd Blanche or Emil Bove, I'm telling Trump in no uncertain terms that he needs to STFU about the judge, his family, court staff and the jury between now and July 11, regardless of whether the gag order is technically expired.

Most first offenders were not trying to steal a presidential election. I'm not a big fan of light sentences for white collar crimes either.
