Lost in this is two things:
    1. Desantis said he won't honor any NY extradition and will restore Trump's voting rights.
    2. Manchin has changed to an independent.

The Manchin thing is a nothingburger -- he's going to continue as is until is term is up in January. It's a technical maneuver forced by West Virginia deadline ahead of the election. The GOP is expecting to gain the seat anyway, at best he decides to get on the ballot, siphon off enough support and the dem nominee wins with like 38 percent

And hell, the GOP nominee was a Democrat until 2017, so he might be in a Manchin-like role from the other side

If you’re Florida Dems, you immediately offer legislation that offers restoration of voting rights to all convicted felons. Sell it as you’re restoring Trump’s right to vote as well as all the felons. Make the GOP twist themselves into knots explaining why Trump is more special than anyone else.

Didn’t Florida restore voting rights to felons a few years back? The hangup I thought was the fees felons had to pay.

So if I'm reading this right, crossing state lines to vote is good to today's GQP, but doing that to get an abortion is bad?

The only flaw in this plan is that Republicans love to explain why Cheeto Jesus is more special than anyone else. It’s a feature not a bug.

If your sentence is completed, including parole or probation, and all restitution, fines, or other fees have been paid, you may register to vote and cast a ballot.
