Birmingham Southern, which stayed alive yesterday with a walkoff, saw its season (and everything) end on a walkoff home run against UW Whitewater today.

Birmingham-Southern got out to a 10-5 lead but didn’t have the pitching to make it stand up. Eliminated on a walk off homer by Wisconsin-Whitewater.

UCSB wins for prettiest outfield backdrop. Too bad we only see it when the Ducks hit another homer.

By my count, LSU and UC-Irvine are the only regional 2 seeds still alive. And the Anteaters will need to rally tomorrow just to force a Game 7.

Can't believe OSU-UCI played almost four innings tonight. Steady, consistent rain since 11 a.m. today. I didn't go, Mrs. Micro did and said it was awful. Supposed to be dry for the noon resumption on Monday.

Tennessee scored its expected 33 runs in three regional games.

Fully expecting them to score about 4 runs in the Super Regional.

Against Evansville or East Carolina? Not unless their TBA opponent trades for the Dodgers’ weekend rotation.

I think VCU 1, Wake Forest 0 is going to go down as the weirdest regional result in some time.

Harder to scuffle along in the murky middle of the league when your boss used to do your same job.
