    Most East River crossings charge no toll at all. Midtown Tunnel and TriBoro Bridge are exceptions.

    When I was a kid, my dad would drive us into Manhattan and I had only a vague idea that the midtown tunnel existed, because he'd only take the free 59th Street Bridge

    The tunnel is luxury!

    You should see the bumper-to-bumper nightclubbers stuck an hour at a time on the Williamsburg Bridge Fridays and Saturdays.

    So near! And yet so far!

    I refuse to drive over that bridge. I don't want to be the unlucky one who is on it when it finally collapses like an old erector set.

    Trucks tolls for the GW bridge and NYC tunnels are so expensive I can't bring myself to post them.

    I drove over the Williamsburg this past weekend, the biggest danger wasn't the steel but the idiot cyclists doing wheelies through traffic.
