Walter Hill's "Crossroads." A box office failure back in 1986, it is a decent, atypical 80s flick. Joe Seneca is great as the old harp player, Ralph Macchio is meh as the lead character and Jami Gertz is super cute. Great cinematography and decent Ry Cooder score.

"Inside Job" with Denzel, and "The Judge" with Robert Downey Jr., on Netflix. Both enjoyable.

I was going crazy trying to figure out where I'd seen Downey's girlfriend before, then, bang! She was Clooney's travel side piece in "Up In The Air."

Took my son to see the new Planet of the Apes flick.

It’s fine, I guess. At least an hour too long. Can’t hold a candle to Rise, Dawn or War.

The fourth one just seems so unnecessary.

Inside Man? Such a great movie.

    Yeah, Inside Man. My bad.

Last night we watched "A Walk in the Woods." Entertaining. Redford and Mary Steenburgen hold up, Nick Nolte looks like death.

I never saw the film but in the book, the guy with Bryson did kind of look like death. Nolte may look like that all the time, however.

Hit Man. I didn’t find it all that funny.

Unfrosted. S0rry, y'all. I thought the cast was top notch. The script and direction were flabby and lazy. Not quite as bad as that sentient tire movie that made me and a few other people ragey a few years ago, but it's down there.

Both actors can be damned funny, but Frank Drebbin will always be Leslie Nielson the same way Maxwell Smart and 99 will always be Don Adams and Barbara Feldon no matter how good Steven Carrell and Anne Hathaway were in the same roles.

That's what I was thinking. Vera Farmiga was also the in The Departed and a bunch of other stuff.

I dare you to watch the Inside Man sequel, which might be on Netflix too. Obviously none of the same players are involved. So bad. Up there with the Backdraft sequel that was also on Netflix few years ago.

I thought the initial premise was interesting then it went kinda ridiculous. Powell shows some good acting range and co-Star was smoking but the story went too far IMHO.
