I'm imagining the CBC has already sanitized any and all recordings it has in its possession.

Don't think CBC has much to do with it anymore.

Florida's forecheck reminds me of L.A.'s Cup-winning teams. In addition, Edmonton is, what, 0 for 7 on its power play?
Bob didn't see much work but, man, was he ready when called upon.
The Oil probably get one at home ... then the series is over.

David Quinn joining Mike Sullivan's staff in Pittsburgh is genius. If anything happens to Sullivan, they can just put Quinn out front and nobody will notice Sullivan is gone. The only clue will be the 12-game losing streak.

AI Paul Maurice is more entertaining than the real Paul Maurice, and that is saying a lot.

A quick interlude into the AHL. The Hershey Bears advance despite blowing a 3-0 series lead, winning Game 7 of the Eastern finals in overtime, 3-2 over Cleveland. Garrett Roe with the winner in a scramble.

Hershey (Caps affiliate) will meet the Coachella Valley Firebirds (Kraken) in a rematch of last year's Calder Cup finals, beginning Friday night.

I purchased a Firebirds t-shirt at the arena this afternoon while passing through the majestic Coachella Valley.

    1. Palm Springs has a minor league hockey team?
    2. How are they not called the Snowbirds?

It's actually in Palm Desert. I haven't been there, but I hear it's a nice arena and great game experience. The venue hosts a lot of big name concerts, too.

The building opened last season as home to Seattle's AHL affiliate, which is playing for the Calder Cup for the second year in a row. It's the second AHL team in the Inland Empire along wit the Kings affiliate in Ontario.

My nephew lives down there and goes to a lot of games with his mom and step father. Say it's a great atmosphere.

And minor correction: Palm Desert is not the I.E. Low Desert or Coachella Valley.
