Luis Robert hasn't hit a single in 10 days. I know singles are a National League thing. But in Robert's case, this is telling. Hie strikeouts rate remains ≥ 35%.

I admire Abreu for accepting a minor-league demotion several weeks ago. A lot of big leaguers would have and do refuse the assignment.

I also kind of secretly like the White Sox, who are suffering their worst season in 92 years.

    He was on borrowed time.

Good time for Cade Povich to arrive, if he continues.

Their day could have been so much worse. A seventh-inning pitch got away from Greg Soto (I think) and bore down toward the nose of Gunnar Henderson. He just dove out of the way.

Burnes-Wheeler tomorrow. It does not get much better than that at this time.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto walks off the mound and into the clubhouse after two innings in LA.

Snoop Dogg dropped by the booth for a bit of the Brewers-Reds game today.

Snoop Dogg's mainstream acceptance will never not be weird to me. The guy was credibly accused of murder (and acquitted, to be fair) and has faced a ton of other serious charges! I mean, he's talented, so I'd rather see him bopping around ballparks than some YouTube influencer. Still. Very weird.

And that will make it a 4-0 ballgame.
