The school year is coming to an end and last week, they had the final lockdown drill of the year. The next day my daughter asks if they have lockdown drills in other countries, and I said Like Austrailia? No.

She goes: Is it because any rando can get a gun? If so, I'm moving somewhere where they don't have lockdown drills. She's going into 6th grade.

 

Sadly, drill or no drills, every public space is vulnerable to a nutter with a gun.

NPR reported the suspect got away and was barricaded inside a house. He reloaded twice and ran. NPR said an 8 year old was among the victims. No word on deaths but CNN is only reporting wounded victims.
