    They must have at least approached him about playing Jack Bauer's dad in the the role that went to James Cromwell in 24, right?

    Saw Klute on the big screen last year. He was fascinating to watch - not many actors were in the same space as him.

    An Expos die hard. I imagine my 2:00 pm Montreal radio show will lead with him - they called him up a while ago and he was still a big baseball fan.

    He starred in a fantastic WWII film in the '70s called "The Eagle has Landed" as an IRA guerrilla working with a German commando unit to capture Winston Churchill. Larry Hagman does a funny turn as an Army desk jockey who longs for action.
