Giants-Cardinals Fox Telecast Gets the 1950s Treatment at Historic Rickwood Field

For those who missed it. I give Fox a lot of crud, but their TV production people are the best. You can tell they put a ton of effort into the broadcast. It might not have even penciled-out economically given the one-off nature of the broadcast.

 

50+ years later, Condredge Holloway is about as beloved as someone not named Manning can get at Tennessee.

 

It's pretty much unrighteous to the bone that an outstanding Willie Mays obit thread got sidejacked to Rickey Henderson (who was great, though) to Jack Brohamer (who was not) and then, of all the fuckin' people here, to some distant regional memory named Condredge Holloway.

Reggie Jackson was fantastic, though. Props for that.
